Our Mission
The difference is not the Korean tax return. It is everything attached to the parent relationship.
A Korean subsidiary keeps the same books and files the same returns as any domestic company. What sets it apart are the items that exist only because it is foreign-invested – payments made to head office, charges billed back to it, the annual filings on related-party dealings. These sit at the seam between routine compliance and international tax, and they are the items most often left unassigned.
That seam is where we work. Our tax practice was built on international tax advisory, audit defence and transfer pricing documentation for multinational groups, and our attorneys sit in the same firm, so a transaction is assessed for tax exposure and legal risk at the same time. Positions are decided and recorded before they are applied, in English, by the professionals who perform the work.

Hee Bong Park is the lead partner at STAR TAX and a licensed Korean CPA with over 17 years of expertise. His experience includes:
- International tax consulting & audit defense
- BEPS & TP documentation for global firms
- Former role at PwC and Deloitte Korea
He holds a degree from Seoul National University and served as an external tax advisor for the Seoul Tax Office in 2016
